Police have launched MANHUNT FOR PUBLIC VIOLENCE SUSPECTS

Police in Phalaborwa have launched a massive manhunt for a group of community members who went on rampage last night and torched trucks and barricated roads.
It is alleged that last night on Tuesday at about 22:00 a group of people started barricating the roads along Makhushane cross and the Police reacted swiftly after receiving a report.
Police spokesperson LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said “On arrival at the scene we found that four trucks belonging to different companies were set on fire and completely burnt and seven other trucks were safely escorted out of the parking depot to the mine”
“Cases of malicious damage to property and public violence were opened and the stuation is still being monitored”. Ngoepe added
“The preliminary investigations have revealed that the motive behind this situation is allegedly related to their previous concerns of complaints against the local mines.
The suspects are still unknown and there is no arrest. Police investigations are still continuing”. He said
