Reflecting to the month of June which has been declared as a youth month in South Africa, ward 7 Councillor in Greater Giyani area, Fumani Mkoveni took his anger to Facebook on Friday and questioned the benefits of democracy when Greater Giyani young people continue to be exploited by Indians.

“We will not be freee as the Greater Giyani young people as long as Letaba FET still teach our fellows a qualification of being clerk, What is it to celebrate when our Nursing College cater most young people from Sekhukhune and other Districts in the South, We will not call ourselves beneficiaries of democracy if the Retail Markets of our town continue to hire Vhembe and The Southern Limpopo young people whilst our young continue to be exploited by Indians and East of North-East African continent”. Mkoveni said

Mkoveni, posted “Unless we make it a point that young people are represented in the so called Limpopo Economic Development forum (LED) and other developmental forums in Giyani”.

“Until the National and Provincial governments address the scourge of tribal battles and develop young people to get proper jobs and entreprenuerial opportunities”.

“Let us all unite behind the banner of Youth empowerment and development. We shall remain 61% of unemployment until leaders from political avenues and civil society do something – so i begin”. He added.

Mateo Khosa reacted to the post when he said “we still have a chance to change things for Giyani, it won’t happen overnight but think about it, let’s do more research and we will find a way”.
