MALAMULELE – Makhoma Boxing Club from LIM345 municipality, showcased their ability in the much anticipated sporting category, boxing in the national tournament hosted in Mdantsane , in the Eastern Cape province between Tuesday the 18th of July and Saturday the 22nd of July 2017 by bringing home rewards.
Limpopo province had16 boxers and they were from Malamulele, Phalaborwa, Nzhelele and Khubvi, the province came back home with a total of 8 Medals of which 6 belongs to Malamulele based Makhoma Boxing Club.
The Gold medalist in woman category, Hitekani Hlungwani, said she’s overwhelmed by the team’s effort in bringing those medals home.
“Team effort is the best way moving forward and I’m proud of the team that we have here in Malamulele. ” said Hlungwani.
A defending champion from Mahonisi village outside Malamulele, Mkateko Sithole promised to keep up with boxing career until she can be able to compete in the international Olympics.
Silver medal winner from Malamulele section D, Martin Maswanganyi, said despite circumstances faced in the tournament he is going to up his game in the next coming matches and tournaments.
“I’ve identified few mistakes from my previous encounters and I will improve them right away. ” said Maswanganyi.
