On Sunday, the community of Thohoyandou at Nemaorani complex experienced a traumatic situation where by six shops were burned down to ashes.
It is alleged that one of the shop owners heard people screaming from the other side of the complex when he was opening his shop, he then notice a smoke of fire on the adjacent side of the complex.
The Shop owner quickly called the police, who also called the fire brigades to come and assist.
The cause of the fire and estimated damage is not yet clear. Said LT. Conel Moatshe Ngoepe.
“The police are urging members of the community who may happen to have the information to contact captain Richard Boshomane on 079 894 5501 or contact the nearest police station on 0860010111”, Ngoepe added.
