GIYANI- MONEY GONE DOWN THE DRAIN

The Lepelle Northern Water has reportedly spent R336 million on 173 boreholes for water supply to the Nkhensani Hospital, and for various communities around Giyani. This was revealed by the Water Board’s Chief Executive Officer, Phineas Legodi.

Legodi was answering questions before Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts on the morning of Tuesday 22nd of August 2017.

Legodi outlined the project components on work done on the boreholes which includes testing, drilling , equipping and security.

Residents from different communities in and around Giyani are still complaining about the lack of usable water.
