MALAMULELE- The Collins Chabane Municipality has unveiled two waste trucks worth R2 Million Rand each. This came after the Municipality spent a year hiring from both Makhado and Thulamela Municipalities.
During the unveiling of the trucks the Mayor Joyce Bila said the trucks will help keep the communities around the Municipality clean and safe.
“As the Municipality we are so happy because we managed to purchase two trucks for us as the Municipality as we all know that we used to rent and it was high-priced and now we have our own.” She said.
Collins Chabane Municipality is a merge between Malamulele, Vuwani and Hlanganani areas. It was established on the 17th of August 2017 and it was named after the late Minister Collins Chabane who hills in the area.
The Secretary of CONTRALESA in Collins Chabane Municipality Hosi Shigamani has welcomed the new trucks Municipality indicated that the two trucks will help speed up the level of service delivery in the area.
“As Traditional leaders were so happy about what the Municipality is doing. This is a real service delivery that we needed all those years.” He said.
Malamulele Traditional Healers President Charles Dumakude has also applauded the Municipality for buying the trucks and indicated that this will make sure the communities are not polluted.
In 2017 the Collins Chabane Municipality bought two grades.
