GIYANI – Strategies to fight the acts of illegal poaching in this Province, continue to yield meaningful results.

Limpopo Police said in the Giyani Policing precinct, a special Intelligence led Joint operation with NIU (Rhino8) Was conducted last Friday and has managed to crack yet another possible illegal poaching syndicate when they effected an arrest at Mbaula village.

“During the operation, a 36-year-old suspect was arrested for illegal poaching and four elephant tusks (ivory) Was recovered.

“The suspect will appear before the Giyani Magistrate’s Court Today.” Said Constable Maphure Manamela.
