GIYANI- Scores of disgruntled residents at Mapayeni village in Giyani are up in arms following allegations that a local woman performs witchcraft (Names are withheld) after she tried to kill a young woman in the village last week.

It’s alleged that the accused gave the victim food to eat before she could give the alleged victim a bottle of traditional herbs to drink, after she complained about her arching-stomach.

Our source has revealed to us that community members attempted to burn the house of the witchcraft suspect on Saturday morning when they were despaired by a big snake which came out of the house as the disgruntled members had to run for their lives.

Two women were alleged to be arrested after they were found in possession of 5 litres of petrol attempting to burn the house of the suspected witchcraft.

The alleged victim claimed that on her way home from the accused’s house, she saw known community members who were certified dead and buried, zombies.

“As she tried to pull out from the dead people, she was suffocated and pushed to the ground by the accused who followed the victim to her way home.

“She had to scream more to be heard by her neighbours who came into her rescue, and when they arrived at the scene the accused was trying to suffocate the lady.

Unfortunately, she ran for her life and it was too late for the accused to have her spiritual powers to save her since the victim had already told us all,” concluded our source.
