Mbangezike high school pupil killed

GIYANI- One learner has been killed following a heated argument between two learners at Mbangezike high school in Xikokwani village outside Giyani.

A 15-year-old-boy, went home to beef-up his elder brother after he was manhandled by a 14-year-old-boy, Cells Moyani in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Mbangezike high.



Limpopo police spokesperson, LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says police have arrested a 20- year-old-man for murder.

“After the argument, the 15-year-old-pupil and his elder brother 20 years old followed Moyani to his home, chopped him with a sharp object and killed him instantly.

“Subsequent to this killing, the Xikukwani residents went on rampage and burnt the suspect’s home with everything inside. The Police were summoned, responded immediately and initial investigations ensued.

“The situation is now normalised but the Public Order Police are still monitoring. The suspect will appear before Giyani Magistrate’s Court tomorrow on a charge of murder.

“There are no arrests at this stage in connection with the torching of the house and the suspects are still unknown.
