SAPS members awarded loyalty medals

LIMPOPO- Members of the South African Police Service in Limpopo have been awarded medals for rendering a faithful, loyal and continuous service for a period of ten, twenty and thirty years respectively. This took place during a parade at the Thohoyandou stadium on Tuesday 20th March.

Limpopo Police Spokesperson LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe says that the prestigious event was graced by the presence of the MEC for Transport and Community Safety Makoma Makhurupetje, the king of Venda Khosikhulu, phemphu Ramabulana. He further says that Provincial Commissioner LT. General Nneke Ledwaba, Deputy Provincial Commissioner Major General Morakaladi and Major General Scheepers, Cluster Commanders, Provincial Heads as well as community members attended the parade.

“A total of sixty-one members between the ranks of Constable and Lieutenant Colonel were awarded loyalty medals in categories such as 23 members – 30 years, 24 members – 20 years and 18 members – 10 years” Ngoepe concluded.
