Dzumeri residents go on rampage

GIYANI- Residents of Guwela, Kheyi, Mbhendle Ka- Dzumeri outside the town of Giyani closed the gravel road from Mageva village which connects to Phalaborwa road.

Residents since last night went on rampage blocking the gravel road with burning tyres, rubbles and tree branches demanding a tar road.

The strike thus far has left learners stranded. Pfukani Shilowe told Giyani View that he has been waiting for his school transport since 6am this morning.

No injuries have been reported at this stage. Public order policing were spotted since last night.

Greater Giyani Municipality (GGM) spokesperson, Steven Mavunda wasn’t immediately reached for comment.
