Ritual murder case remanded

THOHOYANDOU – Six accused have appeared in Thohoyandou magistrate court on Thursday 19th April on charges of ritual murder. They are accused of having committed ritual murder in 2014.

Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo of the South African Police Service in Limpopo says that the accused, Gerson Mathoho(52) who is a former police Captain, Shonisani Muruge(52), Azwinndini Ndou (42)Khuthadzo Tshikhudo(28) and Eric Khobo (30) were remanded in custody until Wednesday 25th April for bail application.

“The accused will also be facing additional charges of murder where a firearm was used during 1999 and kidnaping which occurred during 2011,” says Mojapelo.

Mojapelo concluded by saying that more arrests are expected.
