Giyani- Limpopo Premier Chupu Mathabatha says he is concerned about rape allegations leveled against a senior official in his office.
The alleged official who is in custody is alleged to have raped a Botswana citizen who is said to be part of the COSAFA tournament currently taking place in Polokwane.
The alleged act is said to have taken place in the early hours of Saturday 2 June 2018.
“We call on all to give us space to get to the bottom of these allegations which are serious in nature, but also to understand that a person is innocent until proven guilty”, said premier’s spokesman, Kenny Mathivha.
