3 Plasma TV syndicate suspects denied bail

Giyani- The alleged organised clique of Zimbabwean gangsters who are illegal Immigrants terrorising Giyani communities at night, 3 suspects have appeared before the Giyani Magistrate Court.



According to Limpopo police, SAPS members followed information about suspects who have been terrorising the local communities in and around the Giyani town, including the neighbouring areas with burglaries until the 3 suspects were nabbed.

“This is after they allegedly broke into one of the houses at Mghongoma village outside Giyani town, and were immediately apprehended with the assistance of community members.

“During the arrest, 3 Plasma TVs were recovered. Further Police investigations were conducted and led to the arrest of the third suspect who allegedly drove from Polokwane to join his accomplices.

“The suspects were identified as follows; Maotsuri Soyabi (34), Elias Makokotela aged (42) and Tyson Tshibaro (24).

“All the arrested suspects have already appeared before the Giyani Magistrate Court on  charges of burglary residence.They were all denied bail until their next court appearance on Thursday 30 August 2018 for bail application and for further Police investigations.

“The suspects were also linked to another burglary case around Tshilwavhusiku area in Thohoyandou and for which they will appear in court on Tuesday.

“This is believed to be one of the biggest criminal  syndicates which is targeting plasma Tvs, laptops and cell phones,” said L.T. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe.
