Giyani- The family of the deceased, Hoxani Victor Ngoveni (26) from Mavalani Village outside Giyani seemed at ease during the burial of their loved one who passed on last weekend during the popular #FillUpGiyaniStadium hosted by the king of Xitsonga traditional music, Benny Mayengani.

The award winning “President” Benny Mayengani alongside his manager, and sponsor Howard Mashava graced the bereaved family with their presence to show support during the hard time.

Ngoveni was stabbed during the history making event which sold 25000 tickets

During the funeral, Xilumani Holdings Boss Howard Mashava said they were very concerned about what transpired during the event.

“We paid a visit to the family as soon as we received details about the deceased, I don’t understand why people get the guts of bringing weapons to an event of that nature.

“We were very concerned, hence we went an extra mile to ensure that we get to the bottom of what transpired”, Mashava said.

However, he pleaded with the justice system to be hard on those who commit crimes.

Speaking alongside Xilumani Holdings Boss Howard Mashava, Benny Mayengani said he never celebrated the success of his event because of what happened.

He stressed his concern over people who brought weapons to an event where people should be celebrating.

“I am deeply touched by the death of Victor”

Family spokesperson Mr SE Ngoveni thanked the support from Xilumani Holdings.

Ngoveni said they were pleased with the support they received.

“As a family, we never expected the support we received. They have loosened the weight we were carrying”, Ngoveni said.

Meanwhile, Xilumani Holdings is offering 5 buses to transport community members when the murder trial begins
