Tzaneen- A 32 year old man has been arrested on Wednesday by the Hawks Serious Corruption Investigation unit for allegedly swindling nine job seekers.
It is alleged that the suspect who was employed by Letaba Farm Estate in Letaba, outside Tzaneen, solicited about R700 from each victim to secure employment at the Farm Estate.
“The victims allegedly went to the manager to enquire about their employment status as promised, and to their disappointment, they found that they were not even on the list of new recruits.
“The matter was then reported to the Hawks, who tracked down the suspect and he is expected to appear at the Ritavi Magistrate Court on 13 September 2018”, said Captain Matimba Maluleke.
