Phalaborwa- The police in Lulekani outside Phalaborwa town are looking for three suspects who were involved in a serious armed robbery that happened on Monday night.
It is alleged that the complainant was busy closing the Mthunzi Liqour outlet when heavily armed suspects with firearms stormed her business venture.
“They forced the complainant together with other two of her employees back into the outlet and demanded cash. And, further threatened to kill them if they do not give them the money.
“They then robbed them an amount estimated to be R12 000 before fleeing from the scene.
“The Police were notified and reacted swiftly, but the suspect were already at large. A case of armed robbery has been opened and it is under police investigation”, Constable Julian Mathebula.
The Lulekani Police Station Commander Lt.Col Mackenzie Prince Mkansi condemned such a barbaric act from the criminals involved in the case.
Lt.Col Mkansi says “I would like to condemn this heinous act from the suspects, and I promise that the police would produce a serious strategic action in helping to deal with the matter.
“I therefore appeal to all the community members to work together with the police in the fight against crime”. He further stated.
