Giyani – The much anticipated Link Up music festival and Record Label launch is set to make its first debut this coming Saturday, 27 October 2018 at Giyani Stadium.

The festival, which is spearheaded by two music lovers, Khwathelani Alson ‘Baks’ Nemabaka and Dakalo’ Baks’ Mamutshavhi has been widely marketed on both social media, radio and other media platforms.

It is set to feature a legendary Xitsonga muso and multi award winning artist, including the Presidential Order of Ikhamanga recipient, Dr. Thomas Chauke.

Among other legends set to perform at the festival is Zimbabwean and world music legend, Dr Oliver Mtukudzi, the recently honoured Reggae King Dr. Colbert Mukwevho, Joe Shirimani, Dj Ganyani, Penny Penny and  others.

Baks and Daks said they formed their company to serve and cater for the previously excluded artists in Limpopo.

“The vision is to grow the company beyond provincial boundaries because artists are faced with the same problems of exclusion all over the country and we hope to be the company that introduces those artists to the mainstream market”.

The duo plans to revive the entertainment industry by hosting this as an annual event.

“Besides being a record label, we also would like to revive the entertainment space by hosting shows that represent the culture of music and inclusion”. Concluded Baks and Daks.
