Giyani- Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality in partnership with Limpopo mental health society and the district’s department of Health this morning hosted a mental health awareness campaign at Namakgale town hall.

The event has been hosted under the theme – “Ke Moja, I am fine without Drugs”. The programme is targeting mainly youths.

Mayor,  Pule Shayi, has been accompanied by municipal speaker Merriam Malatji and EXCO members.

Shayi says the awareness is the closing of the month of October. “In the past 2 months in Maphuta Malatji Hospital more than hundred people were admitted because of the use of the substance.

“It’s a great concern to us as the municipality that the use of drugs in Ba-phalaborwa it’s at a high level. We are here to educate the youth that they should learn to say, “ke moja”, I am fine without drugs”, added Mayor Shayi.
