Tzaneen- The body of a one year and six months old toddler who allegedly fell into a borehole pit at Joppe village outside Tzaneen town on Saturday in the afternoon, had been finally retrieved in the early hours of today, Monday.

The police search and rescue team and the emergency services with the assistance of the community members have been in the area for the past two days, working around the clock to retrieve the body.

“The deceased was identified as Mighty Baloyi. Police in Letsitele are now investigating a case of an inquest.

“Parents are urged to look after their children, especially the young ones as they constantly need supervision. Police investigations continue”, says Constable Maphure Manamela.
