Mhlongo family stuck in abject poverty following the burning down of their RDP-house

Phalaborwa- The poverty stricken Mhlongo family from Namakgale in the outskirts of Phalaborwa still reeling in shock after their RDP house was burnt down to ashes on Thursday morning.

The mysterious fire has left the 6 members family with no roof over their heads and in the process had rendered them homeless.The cause of the fire remains a mystery at this stage.

However,  Ba-Phalaborwa municipal disaster unit led by Richard Nkuna executed its assessment in the morning, and throughout the day they remain at the scene for relief provisions and also assisting in co-ordinating other stakeholders like Social Development, Home affairs and Eskom to assist the distressed family with valuable possessions like IDs, birth certificates etc.
