Giyani- Victor Ngoveni’s family say they hope justice will take its cause following the death of their son who died during the #FillupGiyaniStadium festival.

Wendy Ngoveni who is the sister to the late Victor told Giyani View that they have been receiving support from Xilumani Coaches and the community at large since the death of their brother.

“As a grieving family, we do hope that the justice system will at least deny this monster bail. He has done us no justice by taking our beloved one away from us. We are still in pain for the lost of our brother.”

Giyani View had been informed that the allegations made just after the death of Victor that his girlfriend has  killed him weren’t true.

According to our mole very close to the case said, the accused Nikiwe Masonto from Siyadhani village in the outskirts of Giyani has confessed to have stabbed Victor to death.

“His girlfriend (Victor’s girlfriend) was taken in for questioning just like other people whom we felt that they should be questioned about the murder and all of them gave us a tangible information which led to the arrest of the suspect.

“We had two witnesses who pointed Masonto out to be the murderer of Victor”, concluded our mole.

However Masonto has already appeared 4 times in the Giyani Magistrate Court and remanded in custody. On the 4th of December 2018 Masonto will appear for bail application hearing.
