GIYANI – Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality Mayor, Pule Shayi accompanied by Chief Whip Eric Hlungwani and EXCO members paid a courtesy visit to Phalaborwa and Lulekani police stations today.
The purpose of his visit was to encourage men and women in uniform, to continue with their outstanding work in fighting against crime and also to give them moral support ahead of the festive season which is just around the corner.
The mayor thanked the police for their excellent job in fighting various crime in Phalaborwa, especially the scourge of copper theft.
He further stated that all the police stations in the greater Ba-Phalaborwa municipal area is doing a wonderful job.
Shayi also visited inmates in their holding cells where he motivated them to be patient while serving their terms.
Meanwhile, tomorrow, the mayor will visit Gravellote and Namakgale police stations.
