Giyani-  Nikiwe Masonto made his 5th court appearance at the Giyani Magistrate Court on Tuesday following the brutal murder of Victor Ngoveni of Mavalani village in the outskirts of Giyani.

Ngoveni has been stabbed to death during the popular #FillupGiyaniStadium festival in September this year. Ngoveni is amongst the three people who died during the festival.

The Only Informer In Town has been reliably informed that Xilumani Coaches is still giving support to the Ngoveni’s family. Wendy Ngoveni who is the sister to the late Victor says they have been receiving support from Xilumani Coaches and the community at large since the death of their brother.

“As a grieving family, we are very greatful to the community of Mavalani, Xilumani Coaches and the local media for not giving up on us. Henceforth we have seen the justice system doing us justice.

“As a family we believe that the justice system will at least deny this monster a bail. He should rot in jail for his actions.”

Meanwhile, Giyani View has been informed that the allegations made just after the death of Victor that his girlfriend has  killed him were in fact not true.

According to our source very close to the case said, the accused Masonto from Siyadhani village in the outskirts of Giyani has already confessed to have stabbed Victor to death.

“His girlfriend (Victor’s girlfriend) was taken in for questioning just like other people whom we felt that they should be questioned about the murder and all of them gave us tangible information which led to the arrest of Masonto.

“We had two witnesses who pointed Masonto out to be the murderer of Victor”, concludes our source.

However Masonto’s bail hearing has been postponed yet again until next Tuesday.
