Giyani- Following the shocking death of a villager who was laid to rest last Saturday in Makhuva village in the outskirts of Giyani after he was struck and killed by lightning on the 26th of December 2018 leaving his two friends injured.
Malfred Matanaswo Mbhombhi who is the accused’s relative of the deceased has finally departed from the village following the community protest since Wednesday.
Mbhombhi who originates from Mozambique, yesterday was his last day in the village. According to our source the accused seemed calm after the accusations levelled against him and, the ultimatum given to him by the disgruntled members of the community who facilitated his permanent exit in the village.
Public Order Police (POP) have since been deployed to Makhuva village. Police say, there’s no fatalities or injuries reported since the protest against Mbhombhi.
Mbhombhi believed to be the one who puts a hex to the deceased and yesterday after he was instructed to immediately and ignominiously depart from the village, he has done so.
Giyani View has been reliably informed that Mbhombhi and his household moved to Nkomo C in the outskirts of Giyani.
