Giyani- Khato Civils, the company which allegedly left an open trench that resulted in the death of Nsuku Mhlongo (6) at Homu 14B in the outskirts of Giyani has sent teams of investigators to enquire with the affected community on what happened.

Khato Holdings Group CEO Mongezi Mnyani says their team of investigators are working around the clock in conjunction with the Mopani district municipality to find out what transpired and prevent a recurrence of the similar incident in the future.

“We are equally inquiring to find out the truth because we pulled out of site in September 2018 due to nonpayment by the employer. Therefore, for four months to-date, there has been no activities on site and no maintenance and safeguarding of the pipelines.“

“The death of a child is tragic and regrettable.” He also took this opportunity to express their deepest condolences to the family and offered their support and availability during this tragic time.

“We once again offer our deepest condolences to the Mhlongo family for this untimely loss of their son and we will provide all the necessary support to the family”. Concluded Mongezi Mnyani.
