Limpopo- The police in Limpopo strongly condemn domestic related killings after a woman was killed on Saturday by her partner during an alleged domestic conflict. The condemnation happened after a 38-year-old man was arrested in connection with the brutal murder of his partner.
The 30-year-old Zimbabwean woman identified as Catherine Mujalanga staying at Madikoti farming in Marble Hall has been killed by her partner on Saturday.
Police say, the residents in the area allegedly heard desperate cries of a woman coming from the nearby bushes seeking help, upon arrival, the suspect was found brutally assaulting the victim with a hard object and the police were called.
“The suspect managed to flee before the police could arrive. The women was certified dead by medical services as soon as they arrived on the scene. The Police continued to search for the suspect until he was found and arrested on Sunday at Wolwekraal village.
“The suspect will appear in Groblersdal magistrate’s court soon on a charge of murder.
“Police advice community members encountering domestic related challenges to consult relevant professionals in their local areas for intervention instead of resorting to violence.” Added Constable Maphure Manamela.
