Two suspects arrested for killing Limpopo Transport department official and his vehicles recovered

Polokwane-  Police have confirmed that a 24-year-old woman from Seshego, Mmotong was arrested on Friday night at one of the hotels in Polokwane and a 27 years old Nigerian national  was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning at his rented house in Flora Park in Polokwane.

It is alleged that the deceased, Marks Rambau who was an official of the Limpopo department of transport was killed at Flora Park  last week Tuesday. His partially burned body was found dumped next to the new Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The suspects then drove to the deceased’s house at Penina Park, Polokwane where they took his Jeep Wrangler and a TV set.

The deceased  vehicles, a Jeep Wrangler and VW Polo, which were missing ever since Rambau’s disappearance were recovered at two different places in Polokwane.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has commended the investigators for their meticulous efforts that have led to the arrest of the suspects. He further thanked members of the public for providing valuable information that greatly assisted the police in the investigation.

“Both suspects will be profiled to establish if they are involved in other crimes.”

“The suspects will appear in Polokwane magistrate’s court on Monday on charges of murder, Carjacking, Housebreaking and theft and defeating the ends of Justice.“ Concluded Ledwaba.
